FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

South Florida artists and friends raise over $22,000 and establish fund for artists in crisis.
FLORIDA- The Coronavirus devastated and paralyzed the arts throughout Florida, but some South Florida artists, friends and collectors responded in kind and raised over $22,000 dollars. Art Synergy will be benefiting from the sale and establish The Art Synergy AID Fund.

The Art Synergy AID Auction and The Art Altruist Auction on Hindman Auctions were the brainchild of visual artist, Rolando Chang Barrero, who recently was awarded a MUSE Award for “Outstanding Cultural Leadership by The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, and fellow artist, Camilla Webster currently exhibiting at The Coral Springs Museum.

The auctions were to establish The Art Synergy AID Fund to make available emergency relief grants for artists affected by the coronavirus.
“We want to thank all the people who attended the auctions in particular collectors Barry Hayes and Nina G. Greenfield for their generosity and spirit of philanthropy,” says Rolando Chang Barrero..

The alliance between Art Synergy’s co-founder Rolando Chang Barrero and The Art Altruist’s founder Camilla Webster, brought together major partners and supporters like The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Art Palm Beach and The Clark Hulings Fund to get money quickly to artists in crisis. It was through this alliance that it was possible to bring together over 85 artists to re-engage with the art market and with each other online and proved there is a digital future for the business in just under two short months from home, thanks to the incredible volunteer efforts.
' I am so pleased that we were able to offer so many wonderful artists to the auction market for the first time, shared Independent advisor and altruist “Kate Waterhouse. “Artists such as Cheryl Maeder, Matt Neuman and Zachary Zaittzeff, among others found their footing beautifully on the secondary market and I am sure they will continue to shine write in the future. It is always exciting to be a part of that in an artist's career.”

Art Synergy AID Fund will soon begin accepting grant applications for up to $500 as a direct result of efforts by The Art Altruist group including famous interior designer and art donor Guy Clark, independent art advisor Kate Waterhouse, appraiser Kelly Lucchini, Miami Gallerist Valeray Francisco, dealer and Palm Beach Gallerist Paul Fisher, donor and artist Ezra Hubbard, executive Steve Watson, producer Reese Blanke, and social media advisor Jake Nicholas.
Artists in crisis can contact ArtSynergyPBC@gmail.com for details.
